Professor Karl Skorecki, Director

The Rappaport Institute was established in 1982 as the realization of the vision of Mr. Baruch and Mrs. Ruth Rappaport to create a medical research institution of international repute in the city of Haifa, Israel. The unprecedented generous support of the Rappaport family led not only to the creation of the Institute, but continues to fuel its ongoing research success. Affiliated with the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, the Rappaport Institute has become a major research arm for the Faculty of Medicine, dedicated to promoting excellence in clinically relevant life sciences and biotechnology research. Building upon an outstanding tradition of past research achievement, the Rappaport Institute looks forward to continuing to make substantial future contributions in biomedical research discovery for the benefit of human health.
